Being able to help a child develop to their potential makes it all worthwhile.
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them.” – Mark 10:14
Jesus took children seriously at a time in history when most people didn’t. He still does.
At Vineyard, we have the great privilege of assisting parents as they train their children to develop a relationship with Jesus and become disciples who will change their world. The children who call Vineyard home today will be our next generation of leaders. We want them to be ready. Our goal is that parents and children will see Kingdom Kids as:
-
A fun place
Crafts, activities and stories keep the children involved and focused on Jesus’ work in their own lives and the world around them.
-
A place of learning
What has God done for his people in the Bible? What is he doing in our lives today? Our well-trained teachers showcase God’s Word as an active tool in the 21st Century that does not fail to speak to kids today.
-
A place of God′s presence
We study God’s Word, but we don’t stop there. We want to meet with Him personally. And we want children to learn to recognize His voice and develop a close, transformational relationship with Him.
-
A safe place
We take our responsibility to minister to your children as a sacred trust. All of our workers have passed State of Illinois background checks, and our ministry leaders have established strong credentials and deep roots in our community.
We believe that God’s love for His children (from the youngest to the oldest) is the greatest love there is. In a world where children are at times undervalued, it is our desire for each child to know that God’s love is unconditional, and that He truly is their forever friend.

I am a Christian in part because Christianity is a wonderful, truthful story that describes who we are. I teach because I want to pass the wonder of Christianity and the wonder of knowing a living God on to others.
