Pray the opportunity (Eph 6:18)
NLT 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
It’s best to read an English translation that include the word “time.”
In the Greek language There are two words for time.
Chronos (From where we get a word like Chronological) this word which means clock time
The second word for time is Kairos.
This refers to specific a moment in time, usually related to strategic timing.
Opportune time is a good way to see this word.
It is this word Kairos that Paul uses here in this verse.
So, the best way to understand this verse is, “Pray in the Spirit at every o___________ time.”
This should also be an everyday approach to prayer, not just in times of Spiritual warfare, so I don’t let the devil set the agenda for my prayer life.
